Showers

Showers is an original landscape by Belinda Millar, inspired by the shifting atmosphere of passing rain and changing skies experienced while painting outdoors.

Working in expressive layers of acrylic, Belinda moves towards abstraction, using intuitive marks and gestural brushwork to evoke the movement of weather across the land. Hints of horizon and landscape emerge and recede, creating a sense of space, energy and transience.

Painted in response to direct experience of the landscape, Showers captures the fleeting sensation of light, rain and open air in a contemporary composition that invites personal interpretation. Framed and ready to hang.
